The B.C.
Council of Administrative Tribunals developed this course
in order to provide new tribunal members with a better understanding
of their role and responsibilities as tribunal members.
This
two-day course provides information and exercises
that will help tribunal members acquire the knowledge
and skills they need to conduct fair hearings and
write clear, well-reasoned decisions.
The
course consists of four half-day sessions: Administrative
Law and the Principles of Natural Justice; Conducting Fair
Hearings and Evaluating Evidence; Decision Making and Decision
Writing; and Independence, Accountability and Ethical Conduct.
